I recently played the role of Faye Sloan in Season 10 of Murdoch Mysteries. Murdoch Mysteries is a Canadian television drama series set in 1895 at series launch, and the stories now take place in 1904. It is broadcast in Canada, the US, the UK and Australia and is known for its dedicated and passionate fans. My character Faye was a sharp tongued debutante in the season opening episode and was an absolute blast to play. The cast and crew were one of the nicest and most welcoming I've encountered. Here are a few photos from behind the scenes!
In a wardrobe fitting wishing we could get the top done up of this great pale pink outfit. Unfortunately it was a little too snug and I ended up in the brown ruffles you see hanging behind me.
On set with Downton Abbey actress Samantha Bond, who was guest starring in the episode.
On set of the police station waiting for our next scene to be set up, and trying to breath in my corset!
Wandering around the outdoor town part of the set with my fellow debutantes during lunch.
Feeling dapper in our ball attire with Crabtree (played by the lovely Jonny Harris) and my debutante frenemy played by the hilarious Hannah Whitmore.
Shoot days are a marathon not a sprint, so the debbies had some time to catch up on their reading in-between set ups.
Enjoying a cuppa tea with fellow debbie Elizabeth, played by the darling Dominique Provost-Chalkley.
Getting into character, ok I'm actually airing out my legs - 7 layers of tulle get hot fast!
"The Debbies" in all their sassy glory. I smell a spin off show, whaddya think? 😜 😜
